Welcome to the Chagrin Valley Camera Club.
Whether you’re discovering photography or have spent years behind the camera, you’ll find opportunities to stretch your imagination, strengthen your skills, and share what you see. Bring your curiosity, your questions, and your photographs. You don’t need expensive equipment or advanced experience to belong.
Learn from photographers who expand what’s possible
A remarkable photograph often leaves you wondering, “How did they see that?” Our guest presentations bring you closer to the ideas, techniques, and creative decisions behind compelling images.
Explore subjects ranging from street photography and portraiture to wildlife, landscapes, light painting, and creative image-making. Discover a different approach, try an unfamiliar technique, or find inspiration for your next photographic adventure.

Making an image is only part of the experience. Sharing it opens the door to conversation, discovery, and growth.
Our member exhibitions, critiques, and competitions offer different ways to participate. Hear the stories behind photographs. Learn why a composition works. See how another photographer approaches light, timing, or perspective. Receive thoughtful feedback in programs designed for that purpose, and discover ideas you can bring to your own work.
Signature events include our annual May Show and People’s Choice, celebrating the creativity and individual perspectives of our members.

For more than 50 years, the Chagrin Valley Camera Club has brought people together through a shared passion for photography. Today, that community includes members throughout Northeast Ohio, across the United States, and in Canada.
Zoom presentations connect photographers across distances, while in-person exhibitions and selected activities strengthen our local connections. Collaborations with other photography clubs bring additional perspectives and opportunities to learn. Check each program’s listing for its format and participation details.
Keep the inspiration going
Membership also provides access to a growing video archive of recorded presentations, competitions, and member lessons. Revisit an idea, explore a technique, or discover something you missed. Guest presentations are recorded when the presenter permits it.
We’re also developing new field-trip opportunities and other ways for members to explore photography together. There’s always another subject to discover, another approach to consider, and another photograph waiting to be made.
